Quick Healthy Snacks for The Lazy Girls

You’re hungry but you just don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so you decide that you want a snack, but you’re trying your best to stay healthy. You turn over to look at the apples but the biscuits are calling your name! Conflicted?

We’ve ALL been there. So, I’ve decided to come up with a list of quick, delicious and healthier snacks in replacement for that chocolate cake.

These recipes won’t need a lot of time so no need for complicated techniques. They are simply alternative snacks that are better for you, and they’ll still make you feel full. These five healthier alternatives (sweet and savoury) are made for the lazy girls. The ones who just don’t have the energy to spend hours in the kitchen, but also want to feel good about what they’re eating.

  • The Four Ingredients Cookies:

The four ingredients cookie is probably the most popular snack ever! It is one of the most viral snack on social media too, so here is what you need for eight cookies: one large banana, one egg, 2 cups of rolled oats and dark chocolate chips. You mix everything together and bake at 180° for ten to thirteen minutes.

  •   Cucumber Cheese:

This one of the easiest recipes and definitely my personal favourite. You just need to cut a cucumber into pieces and spread it with cream cheese. Finally, add the spices of your choice and it’s ready!

  • Apple & Peanut Butter:

You can also have a great quick snack with only one apple, peanut butter and chocolate chips! You just need to cut the apple, melt the peanut butter in the microwave for thirty seconds and pour it on top. Then you can add as many chocolate chips as you want. 

  • Rice Cake Twists:

@nicolerenard came up with a great twist for rice or cauliflower cakes. For this one, you need to spread the rice or cauliflower with peanut butter and add on top all the fruits that you love. For a savoury twist of this recipe just replace the peanut butter with cream cheese and add the spices you love. Let your creativity be crazy on this one, there are so many more alternatives you can eat!

  • Lettuce & Chickpeas:
